Grey's Anatomy

Why Grey’s Anatomy Can Never Be Great

Huge Spoilers for anyone who has not seen the Grey’s Anatomy finale DO NOT read if you are planning on seeing it.

It’s a small complaint but I consider it symptomatic of the major problems with shows like Grey’s Anatomy and other dramas that do not trust their viewers. When George wrote “007” on Meredith’s hand, Meredith would have known it was George automatically and could have filled in any viewers without any problems who did not know that was a moniker given to George early in the life of this show. We did not need Alex to call George “007” when referring to him earlier in the episode because in that context it did not make sense. George showed Alex up in the OR very recently and it did not make sense to call him that since no one has for a very long time.

Other than that super shocking finale for Grey’s and I must say that even though I’m a huge TV snob I actually enjoyed it… ok enjoyed it too strong a word, but it didn’t suck!
